2012 MSBA Annual Conference
The 2012 MSBA Annual Conference was an amazing event. Board Members, Superintendents and district officials all gathered together to hear presentations from two energizing General Session Speakers: Mike Kuczala and Michael Thurmond. The concurrent session speakers covered relevant topics to help motivate participants. MSBA would like to thank all those who attended our 40th Annual Conference!
Here’s what participants had to say:

This was an exciting conference. Education in Mississippi is moving in a different direction; but because of MSBA’s commitment to excellence in educating our children and meeting the challenges, I say thank you. I would like to recommend that MSBAstart Board Member day on The Hill. Let board members support the effort by showing up in number. Thanks again, MSBA!
Wow, as usual! Great conference! Got some pep in my step!
Wayne Rodolfich’s presentation was very well put together. All schools should go for it for the children, parents, and community. Awesome, awesome.

The speaker was outstanding! A great choice!! Miranda Beard is truly a great voice and image for public education. Very professional and a terrific advocate for our state. Her smile and articulate voice and diction allow her to stand apart from most others. She is truly outstanding!

Best conference that I have attended in a long time.
A lot of good information on how we can improve student achievement.
Andy Parker – Great job. Michael Thurmond – Great Speaker.
Fantastic choices for speakers and topics. Wish there was a way to squeeze in two concurrent sessions for one or both concurrent session periods. Motivational speaker on Wednesday morning was a great idea.
Mr. Thurmond was an awesome speaker!
Michael Thurmond was wonderful!
Dr. Parker – great speaker – is he for sale?
The Laurel High Choir was outstanding! Michael Thurmond used lots of humor to deliver an inspiring message. Have him to deliver again! I love listening to Best Practices of High Performing districts. This presents the verification for “out of the box” decisions superintendents attempt to make change making decisions. Great collaboration opportunities for superintendent and board members.
Continue the good presentations. More motivation activities to be used back at local district.
Very well done. Most informative. Very inspiring!
Mr. Hinton presented some very interesting information. His discussion was uplifting and very motivating. He should be a general session speaker. Great job!
Michael Thurmond was the greatest speaker that I’ve heard in a while!
