The Mississippi School Boards Association (MSBA) will host the annual Legislative Update & School Law Review at the Sheraton Flowood: Refuge Hotel and Conference Center in Flowood, MS.  

Attend the Legislative Update & School Law Review to find out about decisions of lawmakers in the 2025 Mississippi Legislature, recent court rulings locally and nationally, and changes in federal / state guidelines. This important annual meeting is designed especially for school board members, superintendents, board attorneys, and key central office administrators who work together to strategically plan for the next year and beyond. 

Cancellation Policy:

Written cancellations received after Tuesday, April 1, 2025, will be charged a $100 cancelation fee.  All cancellations must be made by Wednesday, April 23, 2025, or your district will be billed the full registration fee.

Credit Hours:

Board members can earn up to nine (9) continuing education hours by attending the Early Bird and the Legislative Update & School Law Review.

Attorneys can earn six (6) hours of CLE credit for the Tuesday session only.   

Superintendents and Administrators can earn up to five (5) SEMI credit hours.  Administrators must provide their Mississippi Educator License Number and attend in-person to receive credit.

Registration Fee:

Early Bird Seminar Fee: $200.00 per person
Conference Fee: $400.00 per person 

Conference Hotel Information:

Sheraton Flowood: The Refuge Hotel & Conference Center:  A Reservation Code will be sent once registration for the 2025 MSBA Legislative Update & School Law Review Conference is complete.  The code will be included on the MSBA Legislative Update & School Law Review Conference registration confirmation.  Once the participant is registered for the conference, the participant and the submitter of the registrations will receive a confirmation email.  Click the registration details link to receive the hotel reservation code.
